Restoring Dignity
Jiwan Foundation is a grassroots humanitarian organisation working in India to support people who are forgotten, abandoned, or pushed to the margins of society. We stand beside individuals affected by mental illness, abandoned elderly people, orphaned and underprivileged children, and families living without care or protection.
At Jiwan Foundation, we believe that care is not charity, it is a responsibility.
š Rescue & Rehabilitation
We reach out to people living on the streets who are suffering from mental illness or abandonment. With patience and trust, we bring them to safety and begin the process of rehabilitation and care.
š Shelter & Care
We provide safe shelter, clean living space, food, clothing, and daily care to abandoned elderly people and individuals with mental illness. Our shelters offer stability, dignity, and protection.
š„ Medical & Mental Health Support
We arrange medical treatment, doctor consultations, medicines, and hospital care when required. Mental health support is provided with patience and long-term attention, not force.
š¤ Community Support
We stand beside vulnerable individuals by providing shelter, daily support, guidance, and companionship. Our work is rooted in presence being there when no one else is.

People We Support
Real lives. Real needs. Real care.

Mental Health & Rehabilitation
People suffering from mental illness are often abandoned and left on the streets. We rescue them, provide shelter, medical care, and long-term support to help them live with dignity again.

Care for Abandoned Elderly
Many elderly people are left alone with no family support. We provide them with shelter, food, medical care, and companionshipāensuring they are treated with respect and dignity.

Support for Vulnerable Children
Children without parental care face a future full of uncertainty. We support them with shelter, basic needs, education guidance, and emotional care so they can grow with hope and confidence.
How Jiwan Foundation Creates Change

Ā
Mental Health Care &Ā Rehabilitation Support
Volunteers work closely with individuals suffering from mental illness who are often abandoned or living on the streets. Their role involves building trust through patient communication, assisting with hygiene and grooming, arranging medical consultations when required, and ensuring access to food and safe shelter. The focus is on restoring dignity and providing structured care that encourages gradual recovery.
Elderly Care & Dignity Support
This role involves supporting abandoned or neglected elderly individuals. Volunteers provide daily assistance including meals, basic healthcare coordination, emotional companionship, and safe accommodation. They ensure that elderly individuals are treated with respect and compassion, especially when family support is absent.
Childrenās Education & Development Volunteer
Volunteers assist orphaned and underprivileged children by facilitating school enrollment, mentoring their academic growth, and conducting coaching sessions in low-awareness communities. The objective is to build confidence, promote discipline, and create long-term educational opportunities for vulnerable children.
